One thing celebrities are known for is getting married and eventually getting divorced. Some celebrities have been married more than once, while others, the marriages didn’t even last a full year. Then there are some who decided that married life just not for them and they have never even been married before.

I've researched and compiled a list of 10 famous Nigerian celebrities who are over 40 years, but not married.

10. Nonso Diobi:

Nonso Diobi was born on the 17th of July, 1976. He is a multiple award winning actor and film maker. He made his debut in acting while still in the University studying theater arts when he stared in a 2001 film titled Border Line. The actor is 44 years old and currently single.

9. Rita Dominic:

Rita Uchenna Nkem Dominic Nwaturuocha was born on the 12th of July 1975. She is a Nigerian actress. She won the Africa Movie Academy Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role back in 2012.

Rita is not married and doesn't have any kids. In a TV interview, the actress criticized the pressure placed on older women to get married. She further stated that she cannot be influenced by the culture. According to the actress in an interview S-cheek, she could have been married a long time ago, but things didn't work out for her.

8 Sylvester Madu

Born on 11th January 1975 in Anambra State in the south eastern part of Nigeria, Sylvester Madu is a famous Nollywood actor, director, model, producer, entrepreneur and a philanthropist. He is 45 years old and the first born child in a family of 12 children.

Sylvester Madu is not yet married, although, he hasn't talked much about it himself

7 Bimbo Akintola

Binbo Akintola, born 5th May 1970 to a father from Oyo State and a mother from Edo State, studied at Maryland Convent Private School in Lagos State. She went on a school at Command Day Secondary School, Lagos. She has degree in Theater Arts from University of Ibadan. She is currently 50 years old

6. Fredrick Leonard

Frederick Nnaemeka Leonard is a Nigerian actor. He won the award for Best Supporting Actor in a movie at the Golden Icons Academy Movie Awards in 2014 and in 2016 won the City People Movie Award For Best Supporting Actor of the Year (English) at the City People Entertainment Awards. He is currently 44 years old.

People were happy when Fredrick shared a photo of what looked like his weeding ceremony.

That however, proved to be wrong as it was just photos from a scene from movie he was shooting. The actor is focused on his lucrative career. In an interview with Fredrick, the actor stated that he isn't ready to step into marriage yet but added that his main requirement from a woman is that their personalities should not clash in their everyday life

5. Kate Henshaw

Kate Henshaw, also known as Kate Henshaw-Nuttall was born on the 19th of July 1971. She is a Nigerian actress, director, speaker, and philanthropist. In 2008 she won the Africa Movie Academy Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role. She is currently 49 years old.

Although Kate is currently single, she was once married to a British man names James Brutel - she was married to James for 12 years before the divorce in 2011.

4. Jim Iyke

James Ikechukwu Esomugha, popularly known as Jim Iyke, is a Nigerian actor. He was one of the stars of the movie "Last Flight to Abuja" alongside fellow actor, Omotola Jalade Ekeinde and Hakeem Kae-Kazim. Jim Iyke is currently 43 years old.

Though there have photos that surfaced online about the actor's wedding, all the photos were actually from movie scenes. Jim Iyke is a father, but have never been married before. His Lithuanian based girlfriend bore a son for him.

In 2019, the actor announced the birth of his second son.

3. Eucharia Anunobi

Eucharia Anunobi, is a Nigerian actress, producer, and a pastor. She is best known for her role in the movie Abuja Connection. She is currently 55 years old

Eucharia have been married before but divorced in 2006. The union however, produced a son. Unfortunately, the son passed away in 2017 when he was just 15 years old.

The beautiful Genevieve have been linked to many stars, but still single. The actress has a daughter who she bore when she was just 17 years of age in 2015.
